I'm drawn to the way we portray ourselves as individuals, especially if it is done with an exuberant sense of fun or colour.

 

I often paint from people's profile pictures on social media because here we are showing who they are to the world. I also introduce myself to people and ask to paint them, if they seem to be expressing themselves through the adornment of their skin, hair, clothing etc. or because we have had a great conversation that has made me laugh.

My background was originally in Architecture so I am still drawn to buildings, interior design and sculptural 3D shapes which, is still after all, an extended expression of who we are.
