Digital Creation on iPad

I created this video in 2020, while creating this image of St David's Cathedral. This was from one of my own photographs, which makes it much more personal, and although there is an element of what some might call 'cheating' where I am tracing the image, creating it through a trial and error or grid methods would have produced a similar work, but would have taken considerably longer. As it stands this piece still took several weeks to complete, and is completely my own work, so stills stands as an original piece of art.
As well as ensuring that all your work is entirely original, it is also important in digital art to give it more than the photograph you've taken it from - after all, a photo-realistic digital piece of art isn't art at all - it's just a photograph. Everyone has their own rules in digital art, and even with the amount of originality in my digital art there are only a handful of pieces that I can happily call finished pieces and allow to stand next to my more traditional art.
