Watercolour & Ink Painting Courses 6:30-8:30pm at the Artful Studio, Hanham Road, Kingswood, Bristol, are for anyone who wants to learn more about art and creativity in a fun, new, refreshing way.

Perfect for those just starting out and wanting to find their feet in the art world, as an introduction to a university course, or for those wanting a fresh perspective on their own creativity. I let my students work at their own pace, and encourage individuality and freedom of expression, while providing a way to gain more confidence in personal achievements.

Over the 4 week course, you will be taken through the steps of the creation of up to 5 paintings, and learn techniques in watercolour, gouache, acrylic ink, graphitint, charcoal paints and more.
 
Week 1 - Still life painting & introduction to watercolour
Week 2 - Ink experimentation
Week 3 & 4 - Large scale project in ink or watercolour

In addition, the following topics are tutored through large screen presentations and example works: ​colour theory, materials, composition, working with light, plein air (outdoor) painting, exhibiting your work, working from memory and imagination, and much more...​
 
All materials and paints are supplied, along with hot & cold drinks and biscuits.
 
The classes are small and friendly, with up to 8 students per class so that every one gets individual attention and guidance.
 
They are held in a quiet, dedicated studio space with wash up and toilet facilities.
